hi everyone my name is corey i just got my first Mazda pu. its a 1984 B2000 sundowner. I picked it up for $900, its has only 106,000 miles on it. i think it was a great deal. I have a few questions about these trucks. Am i able to ask questions on here or do i do it in the tech forum? i will try to take pictures as soon as i can and get them up. thank you for all the help this forum provides

Welcome Corey!
I haven't owned a first gen truck yet so I don't know too much about them, but they look good......I know that!

I don't see why not, if you want to ask questions here....if you have a technical question on the truck, you might get more responses by starting a thread in the "General Tech" section.....either way, just ask away! And post up a few pics, and you can put those here for sure!

ok so i am going to slam by 1st gen. i want to do it as cheep as i can. i know about blocks in the rear, whats the biggest blocks i can use on the back? also i want to just cut the coils in the front how much can i cut? does anyone know how much of a drop will i get per coil i cut? please any help would be great thank you

3" blocks with the leaf pack untouched. 1.5 to 2 coils should level it out. Any more than 2 and you'll be on the stops. Heres mine when it was lowered the same way

What size are the tires were you running in that one? Is there anyway to go lower with out bags?
trplezro   +1y
Those were factory sized tires. It's possible to go lower without bags, but would require you doing a notch in the rear and modifying the spring cup in some way to allow for the lower arm to get more travel.

As you can see, there's really not a lot of room for the arm to go very high. 2 coils and flipping the lower ball joint will still give you some travel before hitting the stop.

Welcome to the scene! I personally like the drop with the blocks, mines not a first gen but its rides nice and I think its low enough but I'd rather be able the get into a driveway without scraping lol.
