I thought it only polite to introduce myself and my truck seeing as i'l be probing the deepest darkest depths of the site for help and info.
Here's my current ride, smoke and mirrors
She's a 1985 b2000 , fitted with a 3500cc v8 (low power compared to most us equivalent's) 5 speed manual.
Suspension is a rayvernn hydraulics 2 pump set up running 12v and 8" rams on the front and 6" Rams on the rear with single leaf........ I'm sure you can see the rest in the pics.
Plans are...
to try and find a diff to make the gearing a little better
Source a chrome front bumper centre section
Fit 2 more hydraulic pumps to give control over all 4 corners
Source and fit some sort of front damper set up to improve ride quality.
To be honest it's never going to be finished so i'l stop there

The motor is the aluminium rover unit which apart from BMW , lexus or imported chev units is pretty much all we have in the way of options over here.
I should say this truck was completed from a burnt out shell to what you see in the pictures in 6 weeks (evenings and late nights) so its far from how I want it to be but it's a starting point.

Hey guys
A little update on the truck
All the audio has been removed ready for a complete strip down and rebuild
My plans now are to fit either a ls1 running a blow through supercharger set up with jag rear end or a n/a ls6 motor which i have sourced over here on good old ebay
Going to get rid of the leaf spring set up for a ready made 4 bar link which im going to get imported and more importantly im going to attempt my first body drop.
I will create a project thread as soon as i actually make a start but that wont be untill i have got a few of the bits that i need to make it worthwhile.
Can anyone suggest the best place for me to get a good deal on both suspension parts and engine bolt ons?
Im planning on having a holiday either over xmas or the new year so im considering flying over to buy the parts in person and sorting the shipping for anything i cant fit in my luggage which would kill two birds with one stone.
