What's up fellow Mazda guys. Got a issue my Truck is running 3000 RPMs at 70mph, I have a new clutch takes off like a rocket but tops out at 70 . Is it my factory rearend. I tebuilt a 2.0 motor and put it in a 2200 shell with a 2200 drivetrain. Any help would be great

Thx man, my other Truck I had ran like a champ and could run 100 easy on interstate, this engine has been rebuilt from ground up, bored out, je piston all the extras and cant even get out of its on way......puzzzllling. Is the 2200 rearend geared differnt than the 2000..seems like the gears in the 2000 was way longer...

I want to say the rears in a b2000/b2200 are the same running a 3.909 rear.I had to do a axle swap back in 11 and went junkyarding to do so.Yeah hi revs at the highway speed. My truck will def hit 70 easily and keep going, but I am in no hurry to get somewhere.

Thx bud , thats what I was thinking too. Its killing my gas milage. What rear end did you go with. I have to avoid the interstate like the pleague cause I will get run over.

Cats plugged?

No cats on the Truck , have pacesetter headers with a dynomax muffler

What size are your tires? I just put some tires that are maybe 1.5" bigger and I've seen like a 200rpm drop at least. I live in the middle of nowhere so I take highways everywhere and the fastest I have had my truck is 110 @ like 4500rpm (scary!!)
