Found this site the other day, and decided to join.

Hi. My names Nate. I have a problem--I'm in the middle of Wyoming, and there are too few parts stores.

Have a 93 b2600i 2wd I call 'my little beater truck'. Currently has 250k miles, lots of dents and dings, and burns oil better than most two stroke motorcycles (to be addressed soon!).

I bought it 3yrs ago with 193k on it for $1300, and it has been a great truck. Avgs 27 mpg commuting in warm weather, and 22 mpg in cold. No ac though, so I suffer during the summers.

Looking forward to fixing it up some so I can put another 250k on it.

Welcome Nate! I'm a little late on this reply, but at least I replied!

You have a neat little truck.......I have one of the 2WD B2600i trucks also. Mine's a 1991 though and it only had 82,000 or so on it then! Found it at the local JY also!

Got it home for $600.00 plus tax & title transfer, then pulled the engine and cleaned it all up, installed the new head & timing & balance chains correctly that the previous owner screwed up (and then hauled it to the JY for scrap metal!!) and she's been my daily driver and has been purring right along for several years now!

When you get ready to rebuild the engine, hit me up or better yet, start a thread on it and I can steer you through the process.

Here is the latest B2600i engine that I put together for another B2600i that I sold to a friend.

We did a little celebrating after we bolted the engine in!

well, the little beater truck is gone.

I sold it to car max. finally got to the point where it wasn't economical for me to fix it (more things wrong faster than I could fix them), since it was my DD.

Poor guys at car max. They never saw it coming, when warm the truck ran great. Starting it cold, and 3x worse giving it any amount of gas before the idle dropped to 1100 rpm, would fill the parking lot with smoke. Had numerous wobbles and squeaks, which while endearing to me are still things to be fixed.

I miss it, but it's gone--I now drive a toyota tercel coupe manual, same year 75k miles less and has factory a/c. And it always gets 30+ mpg.

Won't be here often, thanks for all the help, talk at ya later!
