It just started the other day my truck runs fine in the morning and all the way to work, it is about 16 miles one way. Then in the afternoon it starts just fine and will run as long as i have my foot on the gas. Once i take it off or come to a stop it stalls. If i spray some carb cleaner in the carb it runs good for a little while that was working for a few days but has seemed to quit working. I have replaced the fuel fillter and hoses, plugs, cap and rotar, wires, and oxyegen sensor. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I would suggest removing the egr below the carb rhs has 3 ten mm bolts, one vac line, one electrical plug.Remove and note the position of the metal gasket on it,this is important to reinstall exact. Now clean the egr with a toothbrush and carb cleaner and get all the carbon buildup cleared out of it.It will be black and sooty and take a flat head screwdrvr and push the metal pintal inside to ensure it moves freeely back and forth to operate the diaphram(rubber) to create a vacumm.Or using a vacumm gauge works too if you have one,and to verify it is holding pressure.Unless your precat below exh manifold or cat convertor are clogged up killing air flow!!!Things to check and consider replacing espec the exhaust stuff. The pre cat can be removed and cleaned out(or punch the screens out) and cat just replace if wayyyy old.Just my thoughts on what to do.

Yep, a good thing is to make sure the the piston/seal inside the EGR is closed all the way when sitting, like in your hand. If this is stuck open or partially open, then you WILL have idling issues, has happened to me. Stuck closed EGR will affect emissions, possibly some pinging, but a better situation than stuck open.

I use a little Permatex Aviation on the EGR gasket unless it's a brand-new one, don't want a vacuum leak there, or a vacuum leak elsewhere either, as that will cause bad idle as well.

Thanks for the help I pulled of the EGR valve and cleaned it out it was terrible. Truck seems to be running good the test will be tomorrow when I drive to work.

Well glad this seems to have helped and sure just by doing one item at a time will keep it rolling for you.Good luck
