New member starting out on a new project, just acquired. '86 B2000 w/Chev small block, Chev auto trans, Ford 9" rear end. still getting into it but I know there will be many questions. First issues I need to solve are a shroud around the cooling fan to keep it cool whe idling around and getting the power steering going. Truck came with pwr steering and still has the pwr steering box but no pump on the engine. I think I have the shroud under control but has anyone every mounted a Mazda pwr steer pump onto a Chev small block? Any other creative solutions for getting the steering working? It is very hard to maneuver at low speeds.
Thanks,
Harvey
