Who makes a 350 conversion kit for the mazda?
Also thinkin bout puttin my cadillac 500BB in it as well.

Nobody makes a 350 conversion kit. Your best bet is a Ford 302 for a V8 swap. Many mustang parts are compatible for the 302 swap (motor mounts, tranny mount, etc) but you will have to make a custom engine crossmember and modify the Mazda tranny crossmember.

Thanks. I have almost made it through all 18 pages of your post on your b2200. Lots of useful info. I may end up going with A 302 or I may just fabricate motor mounts for the 350 Chevy or 500 Cadillac since i already have both of these motors.

I did a 350 TPI/700R4 in mine.
The mounts were really easy. All you need is basic welding/cutting skills.
I dropped mine down in the frame a bit, to keep the transmission angle to a minimum, but didn't have to.
If you go carbureted, wiring and fuel delivery will be a cinch.

I have a buddy with a 1970 DeVille convertible that has a 472 in it... Don't think a big block Caddy would be an easy maneuver. It's a big beast!

Yeah I know the caddy is a beast. I have had s10s with 350's, 400's, 283. Why not a 500 CADDY motor. I could do the V8 swap in the s10 in my sleep. But Mazda swap is a new world to me. But eger to learn since i am getting another Mazda here soon. so i will have standard cab and a extended cab.

Thanks for reading my thread. Sounds like you definitely have the fab skills, so I would just use one of the motors you already have. The 350 sounds like an easier option of the two.

Yeah i really wanna do the cad motor in the truck. But it would almost take up the whole engine bay. gonna do some measurements and see how much room i will have. How much of a drop does flipping the ball joints give you with the stock spindles and with drop spindles? next task is trimming out the front wheel wells on my Litl' CADZDA.

I put the 4X4 torsion bars on my truck 3 years after the motor swap.
It turns out the small block doesn't really need the heavier bars, but the big block might need the upgrade.

Thanks for the heads up on the torsion bars. But my truck is already bagged and has the torsion bars removed. I am gonna have to do some heavy modifications if i do the Cadillac 500 in here though. I might sub frame it with a mustang sub frame. Which would give me a lot more durability. I might just save the Cadillac motor for my 51' Pontiac Fast Back. The welding part isn't a big deal to me that is what i went to trade school for Mig, Tig and Stick. i am certified in all three. The cutting part will be a breeze with the plasma cutter. I just need more space. I moved my shop home cause i was getting to far in debt. But now i have a chance to get some land 1/2 mile outside of town. 20 acres. House 2 shops and a barn. All level ground. thought about even doing some shows on the land. Being i grew up around the Street Rod Nationals, Lead Sleds Shows and The World of Wheels, Darryl Starbird and Ray Farnher. I know who to call to promote it.
