Hola, welcome to the site!

Omg I want the grill, headlights and bumper from a 1997-1998 model! Our models of the same body style as yours were discontinued after the 93 model year. I know if I want the same front end as yours i'd need a core support and hood to match. Take moar pictures! What kind of aftermarket parts do you guys have down there for the trucks?

Love that front end. Would be cool to have in the states.

Good luck with the project and sorry to hear about your dad.

the front bumper almost has a USA ford ranger feel to it... i've seen pictures of the core support without all the rest of the parts attached and its a bit different than ours, looks to give about an additional 3-6 inches of space between the motor and the core support. and yeah, the fenders are the same, with the exception of the built in running light or turn signal that is on your fenders. its just impossible to find those parts for sale in the US, and they seem to be expensive as all hell if we were to try to get them shipped up from australia. i really wish we had gotten the 4 door or SUV versions in our market, but ford is cheap and didnt want to continue shipping in the mazda frame, motor, and bodies to the US when they figured they could just rebadge a ranger and pass it off as a mazda. damn you ford!!!

yeah I tried to get something from Australia and is really really expensive, so I didnt any more. I can find new parts in Chile like the grilles, mirrors, lights and mechanical parts, but it

The f150 is a full size whereas that b series is a light duty truck. We still have light duty trucks, I.e. chevy s10, ford ranger, nissan frontier, toyota tacoma (before they got big), some of the newer isuzu trucks were rebadged s10's with different grills/headlights. Our problem here is that for was and still is cheap, they didn't want to pay to import the mazda frame, motor, or bodies to sell a mazda designed light duty truck (has something to do with a chicken tax thing from back in the day on imported products that i'm not going to try to explain, but they are still doing cheap shit today), so instead they rebadged rangers here to avoid the import tax, and rebadged mazdas in other countries to be ford couriers to once again not have to pay to ship complete vehicles to other countries where there may have been a mazda manufacturing plant already producing vehicles... From the 70s or so until within that last couple years ford had a majority controlling share in the mazda co. so anything mazda did had to be okay'd by ford. Ford made many decisions for mazda...

B2200chile,

I am sorry that your dad died.

I like the truck, and like you say, these have very low HP but they are good work trucks because of the torque. The hood looks different too, like it has a rise on the front. IDK.

I am in san Antonio Texas.., so you can drive it up here, and we will compare trucks, compadre!! lol My gas mileage is terrible at like 15 mpg. Do you have carburetor?? or fuel injection.??

Keep posting more pictures of your progress.

p.s,
your english is very good!!
What is they native tongue/language of Chile??
