Hello everybody, just picked up an '89 B2200 from a guy off Craigslist in my area super cheap ($250) because the previous owner claimed it had a blown head gasket, because he couldn't even drive down the road to the gas station without it overheating. I thought this would be a fast & easy fix, so I snatched it up and got it home, and as I was emptying the antifreeze, I noticed there wasn't any oil in it, which I thought was unusual, but I was sure I'd find some antifreeze in the oil, which I didn't either, so I had a stroke of genius, I pulled the thermostat and filled it back up with oil & water, and what do ya know? It worked! SOOO, long story short, I picked up a perfectly fine, albeit a little rusty, B2200 for $250!

Great find. You should consider getting a new t-stat. Engines need to run at their intended operating temp otherwise your clearances arent correct and you will experience premature engine wear. Also, I've heard running your engine below it's intended operating temp will yield lower gas mileage. Great find though. Post some pics when you get time...all of us love pics!

I'll probably run over to the parts store sometime this week and order a new thermostat, because I don't like to be cold in the winter time either!
