Hi,
I'm new to this forum and although I've had a '97 MPV 4X4 for about a year I've recently aquired a '93 B2600i 4X4. The B only has 84,000 miles on it I picked it up for small change because there is no compression. It turns over fine but no compression on any of the cylinders. Any idea's?

I'm considering a V-6 swap from an MPV. I'm hoping someone on this forum has done this. Any help on this topic would be appreciated.

Pull off the distributor cap, crank it (or turn it with a wrench) and see if the rotor moves - I'm thinking that maybe your timing chain is broken. if that's broken, the valves won't operate, so no compression.

If you remove a spark plug and turn the engine over with a wrench, using a plastic straw you should be able to feel the piston move up and down. Do NOT use a pencil for this, or wooden dowel, those can break.

Hey Cusser,
Thanks for the info. Like I said the engine turns over fine, valves operate normally and the rotor turns. There 's no binding, hitting or anything like that. ??????????
