hey guys,.......just acquired 'olde blue' last week! She was rode hard and put away wet. Any experienced hands with this. Starts nice,..then will not idle as it warms up! gotta keep accelerator on and it runs ok...but quits when you let your foot off?? carburated 2.2 no mil light?

Does the MIL light come on for a couple of seconds when you first turn the key on? Is the bulb good? Sometimes they burn out. And sometimes the seller takes the bulb out before selling it so that a prospective buyer won't see the light and walk away!

Check choke operation.

Check EGR valve to make sure it closes completely when no vacuum is applied.

IF the EGR valve is stuck open (even a little) it will kill your idle. Pull it, clean it, and make sure it closes tight.

thankx for the input!
I pulled the EGR...boogered up...cleaned real good but still quits when warm!
replacing ERG..found plunger worn.
I resolved the mil light issue,...switched contacts under steering wheel and no check engine light now!
Am I right that since there is NO check eng/mil light that my problem is mechanical and can rule out any sensors???
Chilton's says,..that the ECM controls all idle functions on the b2200
Are there any choke adjustments ?

Idle jet may be plugged. Very easy to clean out. Pull the top off the carb and check the jet on the left side a little closer to the firewall from the middle. Please let us know what it turns out to be.
