Hi everyone,
Figured I should probably reintroduce myself after a rather long absence from playing with trucks or posting here...
The usual story.... Bought a house.... Truck went on the back burner.... Laws changed.... Old project that never really got going became a piece of scrap....
So a couple of months ago after a bunch of searching, I bought myself a very original, unmolested yellow 85 ford courier extra cab (b2000). I've been getting the mechanicals sorted as it is a daily and work hack, but with most of that now sorted, its time to start making her into a sweet truck.
I'm going for a modified stock look, just a very clean, simple with more emphasis on handling and performance. I'll start a build shortly, but for now, I need to go and pull the fuel tank and fix or swap my fuel sender, gauge hasn't worked since I've had her and I can only gamble so long till I run outta juice somewhere.
Cheers,
Daeman.
Oh yeah, and pics are comming, I'm posting everything from my phone ..... So well see how that works out.

Welcome back to the site, definitely understand about the house, seems like there is always something to work on.

What law changed that made the other project scrap?

Thanks guys, will take some pics today while I'm out fixing the fuel sender, dropped the tank out last night..... Oh such a fun job.

And Baha, in Australia, our laws regarding chassis modification seem to get tighter and harder to get around every other year. My old project was a single cab wich I had short chassised and was notching and 4 linking it but is now near impossible to get registered. As such, its pretty much useless to me other than a great source of spare parts for my New ride.

And that's also a big part of my desire to go for a modified stock type look (think mazdawg mikey), if things look factory, the cops are far less likely to giv me any grief..... Something I don't need with a daily driver.

Cheers again for the warm welcome back, time for some breakfast and go and get some work done. I'm sick of not knowing how much fuel I have.

Oh, here's a link to my old build...
I Will be using lots of it for this new build, wheels, 4x4 metal and a bunch of other stuff.
I also scored another set of raider headlights and finallyaif my hands on some 4x4 bar end caps yesterday, can't wait till they arrive.

Sorry for the delay, but here are a few pics of the yellow 85, including a now working fuel gauge
