hey guys, names Jake, and i'm a Mazda Nut.... i have a problem and i find its easier to buy another mazda then to seek help! (thank god my wife understands! lol)

So, i started out buying a 1985 Mazda Rx7... didn't know anything about rotary engines, and let the car slide through my fingers by misdiagnosing it. (thought it was a failed motor, turned out carb was flooding the motor... lol)

3 years past, and then i finally got my baby. a 1989 Rx7 GTUs. I still own her, and she's been going through alot of radical changes. STILL ROTARY POWERED!!! and thats never gonna change. Currently she's waiting on the snow to melt so i can finish putting her together and hopefully have her out driving soon. She's got a Large Street ported motor, Full Custom Exhaust, Will have a New ECU (Haltech i hope, or MegaSquirt 3) and Naturally Aspirated. many many other mods as well! (last picture is current look, BUT it does have the Black TII hood reinstalled)

Next Mazda we picked up was my Wifes 1995 Mazda Miata. she's wanted one since she was a little girl, and by chance we found one that was slightly damaged, BUT ran PERFECT. she said she wanted that one and we got it for a SCREAMING DEAL!!! she at first was happy she got her car, but now... she's driven a Turbocharged car... so she wants to Turbo the Miata ^_^ ooohhh were gonna have fun! lol

Next, Because i'm trying to get into Time Attack, or Rally... (weird stretch i know lol) i purchased my 1987 Mazda Rx7 TII. it was just a shell. but cost me 300$. lol and since i've got a TII motor sitting at home waiting to get swapped in, i figured why not? its fully stripped out has an aluminum dash, and soon a roll cage! Track only for this monster ^_^ i'm really thinking about running 2WD Rally Racing with her. but only time will tell. ^_^ (white hood is back on this car again ^_^ lol)

and Finally. my Latest Pickup (yes i still currently own ALL THESE lol) is my 2006 MazdaSpeed 6. i needed a larger family car, since i've got 3 kids, and this one happened to fall right perfectly on my lap. i couldn't turn it down. so this one, will probably never be moddified but my GOD does she get driven!! lol

and now, i'm getting ready to pick up my Mini B. i need somthing that can carry motors. lol and i've always wanted a B. i'm currently looking at 3 right now, ones a 97 B2300 2wd 5spd, a 1994 B2300 2wd 5spd, and a 1982 B2000 2wd 5spd. so i'll be bugging you guys about these in the near future, and looking forward to being a B owner!!! Zoom Zoom guys!!

(oh... forgot to mention.... My B.... will be on the floor.... lol)

thanks! lol and the funny thing, is my wife has never had an issue with my Mazda Obsession. she's actually happy when i'm building, or spending money on the Mazda's (long as our bills and family are covered of course! lol) but shes got the same idea as Jay leno's Wife lol. "i'd rather you smell like Trans fluid, than cheap perfume!" lol

my old lady gets jelous of my truck. and she hates the idea of me going outside for hours to work on it. but once im out there she doesnt want me to ever finish. lol when i come inside after workin on it, she always says "Damn your done already?" then she says somthin obvious like "you smell like oil" or "your hands are dirty."

I'd probably say that's exactly how my wife is. She likes that I'm working on my mazda's, she likes that I save us tons of money on car repairs, but at times she probably wishes of just shut up and give her a massage, and dinner in bed lol.

Here is a picture of a recent repair to the speed. I replaced the shift cables.... which includes removing the dash to get to them lol 14hr job lol

Welcome, your life is nearly complete!
You'll need 2 b's.
1 to haul motors and one to have it's motor hauled.
Happily, they can then exchange places

id be scared to pull that dash out. i got good at taking my dash out of my truck tho as i went thru 3 heater cores last year. set a record of 57 mins last time i did it. lol our trucks are real easy to pull the dash out of tho. that one there looks like someone used rocket science to build. lol reminds me of the factory carb on my truck.

It looks harder than it is, but stupid that I had to do all that to replace my shifter cables lol. Wasn't happy when I found that lol bit out lol.

Personally I'd go for the 82, it's gonna have more room for a nice beefy engine, and the base setup is much easier to work with than the injected Rangers. Nice collection, my missus gets upset when I work hours on end on my ride, but enjoys when I take her out to dinner afterwards
