Hi all,

I just purchased a 1992 Mazda B2600i LE-5 4x4. However, my first car when I was 16 was a 1988 Mazda B2200 SE-5. I did some mild lowering of that truck - 2" front and rear - plus a Weber 32/36, Pacesetter header, and Dynomax Ultraflow exhaust. Unfortunately I lived on the east coast and it finally got too rusty to salvage, and I had to junk it.

I also had what I'm pretty sure was the first Mazda B-series website - I started it back in 1997 or so. It's long gone now, but does anyone remember it? The address was " target="_blank.

This is my first time with a 2600i or 4 wheel drive - anything I should know or watch out for on this truck? It's very original and I now live in California, so I'm not looking to get too far into modding, but I would like to improve it where I can. I know the tires on it now are about done, what tires do you recommend for these? I think they run 215/75-15s. I'm going to do some mild off-roading - mostly dirt roads and some trails - and it would be nice to be able to get through snow in the mountains without chains. But I do want to keep the truck very streetable as well.

Holy crap that is a CLEAN a-- truck!I would keep it stock and mild changes that is a keeper for sure.As for tires on a 4x idk in that dept.Btw that is sunrise red for the color mines the same(87) b22 4x2 cabplus. That truck is just unreal in condition and welcome to the site.As for care just tune ups, check your wear items, like u joints, carrier bearing, fluid changes for trans, differential. That truck has been cared for and doubt you will have any drama with that one.Nice truck!

Thanks! I literally took years looking for just the right B with as little rust as possible. I'll have to get some pics from underneath because I have never seen one with basically no rust.

Is it Sunrise Red? I had two 1988 RX-7 GTU in that color and I swear it was more orange than this. From 1989 the shade of "regular red" changed on the RX-7 to more of a true red, but maybe they kept the name the same - I wouldn't know for sure, but I would think the paint code would have changed, wouldn't it?

Luckily the previous owner was also a big fan of these trucks and had much major servicing done, including all the fluid changes.
