Okay, I'm not obsessed with Chuck Norris, nor am I personally Chuck Norris. Just a name that has followed me on different internet forums.
My name is Wes, but feel free to call me Chuck. I have always liked the style of the import (and domestic) minitrucks, just hadn't owned one until recently. A few weeks ago I bought a 1988 Mazda B2200 from a friend. His family had owned it for at least 3 years, so I new it ran great, smoked alot, and it needed some body work.
The worst things about the truck physically were the tailgate handle being broken, the rear bumper being mauled, a bunch of dents and dings, and the front fenders were both crunched up really badly. The shift knob had been replaced with one of those "revolver chamber" types with the contraband bin, and the stereo was in the truck but very poorly installed. The weels are white with rust showing through, and it needs a couple of tires.
Things I have addressed: I removed the rear bumper entirely, replaced the front fenders and bumper corners (the front fenders are off of a b2600i, necessitating the corners), replaced the lame and rattley shift knob with my 8-ball unit, and reinstalled the stereo in a much better way.
Things I will address soon include replace the bench seat with a better unit or fix the foam, replace the tailgate handle, get two tires, paint the rims, and pull some dents. I will also be lowing it slightly very soon, and painting it satin black.
The truck came with custom tail lights, clear front corner lights, and clear park lights. She is factory black, and the new parts and hood are satin black, which is what the whole truck will be soon.
Personally, I'm married, one child, live in coastal NC. Looking for work, 35, bored and working on the truck. I have enjoyed this site for a few weeks and figured it was time to join. Thanks for having me!!!
