old school mini truck guy back in it beacuse of my son

Well its been since the late 80s and early 90s since i built my last mini truck a 89 Mazda B2200 standard cab. Well my son grew up working in my shop with me and seeing the pictures of this truck and the trophies and when he turned 15 he asked if we could build him one so here we are just bought us a 86 ext cab Mazda B2000 droped it, added some 17" caddy wheels we had in the shop and going from there. Wish there was forumes like this when i was building the last one! Thanks for the info and stores we have already read.

welcome back sir!! awesome that u and your son are going to build it together. cant wait to see it. wish my dad would be more into the hole modifying thing. but some prefer their stock classic type rides I guess. we are about to get his 87 factory bagged Lincoln on the road. good times, hope u and your son enjoy!

That's awesome! Bet your both real excited. What are the plans for the truck?

Should have the mechanics done this week new brakes, clutch kit, valve cover gasket, exhaust, and brake light issue. Have toyota bumper ready to go on then starting on interior going to be triple black when its done. So pulling all the interior out taking seats to get redone while we do trim and dash. Might add some gauges to dash. Then if i can find some 4x4 front fenders and a bed.

Should have it off the lift by end of week. Not sure about going with air ride had one back in the day lots of issues, i know they are a lot better now but going flipped ball joints pulled and turned bars and block and minius one leaf for now.
