Whaddup folks I'm new to this forum... well officially new to it I should say as I've been lurking for quite some time. I gots a 90 red b2200 extended cab because I had some extra money and I like the way these lil trucks look. ne ways i like this forum and its pretty informative. My lil b is currently parked because my clutch got all burnt up (first stick Haha I'm good now though mountains taught me) and I gots a bad cylinder but I plan on fixing that soon.

so anyway i was reading up on fe3 swaps out of kia sportages. my truck is carburated and this will be my first engine swap (on my own car) and i was wondering what componets from the donor vehicle do i need efi wise and what will work? from what i read everything bolts up? (i know about the kia flywheel and maybe intake mani) the carb to efi thing is the only thing im freal fuzzy on.

any informative links? thanks

Switching from carb to efi isn't hard you can use a factory efi Mazda fuel pump that will drop right in your tank or run an inline pump. I'm using an inline 255lph walbro in my turbo fe3 but that's probably overkill on a stock motor. Check this link for more swap info

so from what i gather the only thing thats going to take any serious thinking at all is installing the crank angle sensor on the bell housing and making all the sensors and wiring gismos work with my truck... right on.

just got a stage one clutch in the mail and im taking a trip down to sac or redding for a kia motor and componets this month or the following one.
