Looking at buying my landlord's 1993 b2200 (5spd, fuel injected), which he's had sitting outside for a few months. He's spent absolutely no time driving or working on it, so he doesn't know what's wrong with it other then "it doesn't run too great". He wants $400 for it, and with a near-perfect body, I didn't think it was that bad of a deal for my first project vehicle.

Brought a long-time mechanic buddy over to check 'er out, got it to turn over but once it's running the idle is super lumpy, feels like the thing's only running on two cylinders. Once you put your foot into the gas, sounds normal and the vibrations disappear. He says it's the o2 sensor, but I have no clue. I haven't been able to drive it around, so I don't know any more then what I can find out sitting at rest.

Anything I can do to narrow the options down? Where do I even start?

may be a vacuum leak. I would jump on it for 400

If its a clean truck with a good trans its worth 400 even with a bad motor.but yeah it probobly is a vacuum problem

Jump on it! I just bought one for $750 - dented up body but it runs better than the one described. It should be an easy fix. Mine was just a loose MAF sensor connection.

Over all these trucks are easy to work on... post some pics WHEN you buy her.
