New from NV - '87 B2K

Howdy all. Bought this beautiful banged-up red '87 about 3 months ago. Have put 4,000 miles on it, with few issues until today. And so here I am
I do like this little truck. Very bare-bones, so there's very little to worry about breaking.
Music would be nice, though No stereo.
Anybody know some way to hook up an mp3 player directly to speakers, without a full-on stereo install? I really have zero use for a CD player, and there is absolutely nothing on the radio I need or want to hear. Was thinking about some sort of auxiliary-amplifier-speakers set-up, but don't know if it's at all feasible.

Not sure if you can run an MP3 the way you described, but where there's a will, there's a way.
Talk to a local stereo shop and pick their brains.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the music thing, either. Sounds doable, but won't know 'til I know, ya know?
