Hey everyone whats going on.....My name is Patrick and i am from pennsylvania....well last weekend i just picked up my little B series and i am very new to these little trucks my dad used to have one like 10 years ago but i dont remember it much and dont know where to start with this thing. I bought my 1990 B2200 off of my buddy step dad for $600. you guys are gonna think this is crazy but he bought this truck bran new in 1990 he was 29 when he bought it and he is in his 50s now he was sad to see the truck go but he knew it was going to a good home so i am the second owner of this truck. it has 169k on it and its a standard cab short bed and is A/T and it runs like a top he had the trans serviced and flushed every 2 years changed the oil every 3k the truck is a little rusty but i couldnt beat it for 600 bucks and i am falling in love with it. But i just thoiught i would say hi to everyone and if anyone has any input on what i can do to this thing first but still save some cash at the same time but here is a couple pics of my little beast let me kno what you guys think. And i forgot to mention The A/C still blows cold and its still the original R12 system and its never been charged..

Thanks man the right side has alot more rust on it compared to the left side and the wheel wells right where your feet go are a little rotted u can see my carpet through the wheel wells but im gonna weld some plates in and seam seal them this weekend. and Im in Easton PA right outside of Allentown and i am about an hour away from Philly. I need to slam this beast and throw some escalde wheels on it lol

Wow, why such the different gauge faces between a manual and auto b? I want that cool fuel gauge, mine is just a needle

Nice truck though and welcome aboard!

That's the instrument cluster with a tachometer, on the fancier trucks. They sell used for up to $75. I recently sold two with less than 100K on them. They are an easy swap-in, just need to route the speedometer cable to the left of the bracket so it won't bind up.

That's also the special 3-spoke metal steering wheel like I use in mine. I've sold about 6 of those, again up to $75. Maybe 1991-1992 upper trim B-trucks had them, and some RX-7 models. 1993 had a plastic-covered 3-spoke SW.

Nice truck for that price. I'm from Pittsburgh: raise the Jolly Roger !!!!

Welcome to the site, I'm originally from West Grove PA, your pics remind me of home lol. really good looking truck and definitely a good starting point. There's tons you can do to these little trucks just ask and we'll try to help.

Thanks guys and looks like you guys taught me a little about the truck already. and like i said i bought this truck from the original owner he told me when he bought the truck he ordered it with Power steering and a few other things mabey thats the reason for the 3 spoke steering wheel. but over all im loving the truck so far.... its great on gas and i think its comfertable just wish it was 5sp but for the price i couldnt beat it he did want 1k for the truck but i knew his step son and he knew i would take care of it so he gave me a deal. and i am an auto body technition so this little truck will be having the rust and body repaired also. and question guys is there really only 2 speakers in this thing thats what it looks like to me im trying to figure out a way to put 2 more in

Welcome to the addiction! haha

Nice score, can't beat $600. (well I guess I can, my uncle gave mine to me 10 years ago and I still LOVE it!

Have fun with it, there is a lot of useful information on this site just ask! also the search bar will help to find info on your B too. Good Luck!

Yes, two speakers, 4-inch size. I'd try new. decent speakers up front first and try those. I'm not a huge advocate of installing speakers into doors or back panels, as my ears face forward.

I have a standard cab that I built fiberglass pods for the doors, without cutting a huge hole the panel. - 6.5 in the doors 6x9 behind the seats and 2 10" subs (I had a single 10" behind my old bench but the bucket seats I put in it wouldn't fit. So I did something a little different. Pics below.

door fiberglass pods.

This is my new bed interior that my subs sit on. it shows my old single 10 up there that you can kind of see at the back window, I have changed to the two 10"s since this pic. I had to post this pic to represent the terrible towel because I see you are from Pennsylvania, STEELERS baby! \('o'\) . My gramps is from PA.
