I have a 1993 mazda b2200 and have redone the timing numerous times to no avail. I couldn't get the distributer to line up on number one so I took the belt back off and advanced the cam gear one tooh put it all back togather and it fired rt up but still not running rt and im running out of ideas and patience . it still idles ruff and lacks power. im not sure how to fix this issue any ideas would be great. I have replaced the fuel pump ,distributer ,plugs ,wires, vacuum control valve , wondering if its just the cam gear or the cam itself.cap n rotor as well. tks dave

Are you removing and plugging the vacuum advance hose when checking/setting the timing? Because a vacuum leak (somewhere) could affect the vacuum and thus the timing.

I have not done that till just now and it will still idle ruff but it idles and when i hook it back up it gets worse n dies out. The vaccum advance is on the distributer rt just to make sure im disconnecting the rt one
