Hey everyone! My name is Travis, I am located in Omaha, Ne.

I have recently acquired my first B. It is an 87 b2000 standard cab long bed 5speed. Has about 86k on it and has a bed that is as rusty as anything I have ever seen in my life.
-I received it on a trade for the shell of my 89 rx7 GXL....the motor of which i had pulled out to swap into the truck!.
-the day I got it i had to fix a brake like that someone had ruptured...it was snapped right next to the gas tank and at some point someone had cut a hole in the bed to be able to access it. I got that fixed and now it have a truck with really stiff breaks lol. I will be attending to that after this snowy bs goes away.

-Anyway,plans for the truck.......fix up and restore the cab. clean frame have have it painted for protection.
swap a 13b rotary with 11k miles into it, flatbed, airbags, and all the related fun stuff..plus some surprises.

I am super excited to finally be able to build a truck I actually enjoy driving. I love this little thing already!

its the n/a 13B-DEI out my 89 rx7. its only got 11k miles on it so it be a shame to rip it apart but i want to get it ported before i start the swap, also looking at a turbo build...not sure on that though. Thanks for the welcome everyone. ive done a lot of research but i can guarantee that i will have a bunch of questions

Im not sure yet on how im going to mount it. I need to checkout the mounting location on the truck itself. Someone said that since its out of an 89 that the mounts should bolt in, but all the info ive seen is you need to move the factory mounting points and either buy or make a mount to bolt to a 12a front cover.....im fairly new to the mazda truck scene so I have not figured all the details out yet. i am going to be moving next month and hopefully will be able to get to work and post up pics after that.

Yup. You can mount it using the location of the stock mounts on s4 and s5 motors or you can go with a 12a front cover and rely on the trans mount to help hold the engine.

I used motive fab mounts for mine but i heard Adam is no longer making them. They look super easy to make if you have any fabrication skills.
