Howdy Guys and Gals......I have always been an old truck and jeep kind of guy so any smog stuff is greek to me. I still have my 1966 Ford but mileage with my hot rod motor is only 10mpg. I moved from Southern Calif to the PNW and live out in the boonies so gas mileage is critical for me now. I just bought a B2200 and love the little truck....I call it "Campie" cuz me and my Dog Doc Holiday do a lot of camping so we use our little Campie now.
I wanted to buy a factory manual as I have always bought one for every truck and jeep I have ever owned but the one for this truck is $175 OUCH! so I opted for a Clymer. I'm trying to learn the truck because I need the feeling of security when we are way back in the boonies and with all the stuff old vehicles don't have like EGR's, Catalytic Converters, and all the stuff that other smog crap I have my learning cut out for me.
That's why I am so happy I found you guys online. I belong to a Geo Metro group because my brother and nephew both have them but are not mechanical so I'm the family wrench....LOL... Groups like this are usually very friendly and almost like family so I'm hoping to get to know all of you and if this group is like others and you have get togethers each year, I hope to meet some of you in person.
