My truck doesn't like to start on cold mornings(below freezing). thought it was just cuz it has a carb but I have to crank it for at least 10 minutes(not continuously for 10) to get it to start. Has a weber. Any ideas on problems or solutions?

Mine does the same thing I'm kind of curious as to why it takes long to get going in the morning?

Maybe you have to adjust your choke. With the engine cold, when you cycle the throttle, the choke plate should close to within about an 1/8" of fully closed.

Yep, the Weber choke butterfly should be mostly closed (horizontal) when the engine is cold, and essentially vertical when the engine is warmed up. The choke is adjusted by taking off the air cleaner top, loosening three small screws and rotating the round choke heater element/bi-metallic spring (engine must be fully warmed up for this) until the choke butterfly is "just" fully open, then rotate the other way "a tad", and tighten the screws. Replace air cleaner top.

Is the electric choke heater wire plugged into the rear of the alternator like it should be.

Cylinder Compression check might be in order too. Weak cylinder pressure makes it worse the colder the temp.
