What's up guys. new to the mini world but I picked up a nice original 89 b2200, no rust no dings. Still have window sticker and all service receipts from 88 one owner.
Buddy of mine was just letting it sit since it had no reverse. clutch plate must have got to hot.
Anyways I basically just gave it some tlc.
Mind you I run a repair shop in east TN. I get parts at cost so. I we t to town. Rotors repack seals pads hardware shoes springs cylinders axle seals water pump timing belt tensionerz alternator battery plugs wires cap filters New head lights new radiator electronic fan swap with electronic thermostat ball joints tie rods pitman idler and ...for shits and giggles I dropped it 3" cuz hey ... It's a mini lol.
Anyways so I enjoyed cruising around in my grandpa truck using it as a daily for a few weeks till I got bored.
Well I came across a wrecked 07 Tahoe. With a lmg 5.3L
So now I have this fantastic idea to put that 5.3 into this truck.
Has anyone done it on here? I've seen some videos but can not seem to find a build on it..
This may be for another part of the forum but I'm looking at mounts. Is there a company that makes these mounts for the 5.3? I want to bolt a T56 to it also. Custom cross member? I will probably do an 8.8 from an explorer.
Well I have her parked in the back of the basement next to the bike her winter sister.
Look forward to maybe doing a lilittle how to if there is not one ..

I put a 4.3 Vortec, automatic in a 90, extended. It is a drop in fit. Use Mazda radiator (not the plastic one), 85 HEI distributor, adaptor for a two barrel carb, and a flex fan, no computer. That throws 190 hpr in it.
I know it has a two inch riser and a dual feed dual pumper on it. That is another story.
