Hi guys, new guy here.

I'm not new to Mazda's but I am to the 90's B-series. I had an '84 B2000 in high school that I loved. I was looking for another one but couldn't find any that were worth much.

So I picked up a 1990 B2200 for $250. It runs and drives although needs valve seals and a water pump to be driven far. It was also hit in the passenger side which looks worse than it is. I already found a door and a complete bed for $175. So it'll be looking good soon.

Anyway I'm looking around too see what everyone is doing and I'm seeing a lot of people are now doing some old B2000's like I did many years ago. Pretty cool too see.

Welcome! Good deal for a truck with lots and lots of potential!

Yeah it already has quite a bit of new parts on it already. It will end up being my daughters first car as she really wants it.

A good one at that... another member here used a Mazda PU as the daughters first ride because his she couldn't load it up with kids (bucket seats).

AND they will run for ever unless it overheats, as you know.

My daughter prefers a truck to a car. I gave her the same deal my dad gave me. For her 15th bday she gets to pick a vehicle that she wants for her first car. There's two conditions.
1. No V8
2. It has to be something that doesn't run or needs work to run properly.
3. It has to be under $500
4. I will buy all the parts, but she has to fix it.
This truck fits those terms and she loves it. She is already going thru magazines to figure out what she wants to do to it.

Your conditions have been breeding. If you started with two, and they've already multiplied to four, there's gonna be a whole scad of 'em pretty soon!

Hahaha. Yeah they' ve expanded a few times. The last one is maintaining at least a 3.0 grade average.

Great buy, for sure.

My daughters drove a '98 Frontier 4-cylinder 5-speed, I bought that with 100K on it, and regular cab meant just one passenger, and they had to learn to drive stick. Mrs. Cusser drives that now (198K) and I drive it when I go up north by myself.

I think every kid should learn on a stick. If you can drive a stick you can drive anything.
