window tint

im going to get my windows tinted soon and im not quite sure what %s im gonna get yet. i do a lot of night driving (since i sleep all day lol) and i need to be able to see out. also, im not trying to do anything illegal because im only trying to get the tint done once. not tryin to go back and get it done again because a cop pulls me over and bitches.

so i was thinking somewhere around 15 on the back and 30-35 on the sides?

what do you guys have and whats legal in PA?

I guess it's where you live, I have 5% on back and the rear cab windows and 20% on the sides. I have been pulled over but never for the windows and the cops never say anything about it, as for the driving at night the tint will not affect anyting, they can't see you but you can see them! If you do go darker just roll your windows down when you get pulled over I guess? that is what I do and so far...... NO tickets!!!

in pa there is no such thing as legal tint, any tint is illegal unless its from the factory, but it is all based on the cops discrestion, if they want to be a dick to pull you over they can say it was for tint, or if your bieng a dick thats one more thing that they can write you up for, the only exception is the back window of your truck, you can spray paint it black if you wanted to, in pa s.u.v. and trucks can do whatever they want to the back, i would say you are safest with 35% when i worked at an audio shop and we did tint, 35% was the most popular, not too dark not too light,

but im still not totally sure about the back.
someone told me they had 5 on the back and it was very nice... but then again i might go the other way to 15 just because i like to be able to see...

I wanna get limo in the back and front top section and just keep it legal on the sides!

in pa your allowed a 6in eye brow tint on the windshield . the rear glass you can do in limo (which i'll be doing to little red maybe ) the side windows are i think 5% not dark its a slight tint but you can still see in . that is legal .

I knew some who had a civic that had all the windows in red tint, he got a ticket everytime he drove it.

Yeah any other color tint other then limo (black) is illegal . I know a guy that has a yellowish /gold tint on his extended cab .. to me it looks horrible .but to each thier own.

well my friend stopped by with his z71 chevy truck and he has 35 on the sides and damn its still pretty nice and dark so now im thinkin 40% or 45% on the sides and like 10-15 on the back...

woohoo i got the tint done today. 185 for the 2 sides and the rear.

i ended up gettin 13 on the back window and 32 on the sides.

the trucks lookin real nice now!

im sorta afraid to wash it now with the fresh tint on. the trucks dirty as shit (a lil offroadin a few days ago) and id like to wash it but the tints brand new and i wouldnt want to mess it up or somethin...
