open headers LOUD

i was down in philly last night watchin some races with my friends and drivin around and shit when my truck got a bit louder all of a sudden.
then, bang, LOUD as shit. i get out and look under the car and sure enough the pipe came undone a few feet before the cat

the back part that isnt connected anymore is still connected to the truck good and isnt movin anywhere so i said fuck it and drove around all night like that LOL

im not sure how or why it came loose. it was probly from a little offroadin i did earlier muhuhahahaa

but anyways lemme tell ya its obnoxiously LOUD...
got back in town about 3 or 4 AM and im sure i woke everybody up lol
didnt go to sleep and took it out again at like 8AM for a morning cruze and its just crazy loud... so funny.

but its crazy because now i actually know that theres some high revs up there around 5 and 6 grand. with the exhaust hooked up theres NO power up there...


anyway. random post. just decided to fill you guys in on my idiocy hahaha



so i think what im gonna do is buy some headers, then head up to an exhaust shop and get some pipes bent up and hung for me. how wide you think? 2 inch?

i fired my truck up w. true open headers. not disconnected pipping. and wow........that shit is loud in a little ass garage!

We just finished the motor swap and we started up the engine w/out the cat or exhaust on.. WOW that is loud.. it was a btich too.. cause we had to take the headers off to get the cat back in..

I used to work with my dad and uncle who rebuilt performance engines for boats, and they run those things outside of the boat. Imagine a 1300 HP supercharged 454 sitting on a couple of wooden blocks and revving it up. it nearly jumps off the blocks and rattles stuff off the shelves in the shop.

i blew my exhaust a couple years ago and that was about as loud i imagine, sounded like how frosti explaned it, like a bomb or something. one of my friends is runnin his integra with dc sports header and no cat/exhaust. that shit sounds like a idra drag car. i notice though with no cat and exhaust hooked up, there is waay less torque, and torque is fun.
