I have my dash off and my AC controls havent worked since forever. And now im thinking about just taking my AC off completely. I havent had a belt for my AC compressor since i swapped motors. I dont drive my truck daily but im not sure if i want to ditch it just bc.........

well i live in georgia and it gets really hot, so my a/c is always in use especially on the way to work lol

but if you do decide to rid it, i'd just take the compressor off, and all the excess lines, the condenser, etc., but i'd keep thje blower in there

yeah, i took mine out.. but i left the blower in there.

i took a hammer to mine because i was bored when i removed it. kinda fun and a stress reliver, i took everything and i mean everything out. from the duct work behind the dash to the blower and anything attatched. cleans up wires you have to deal with aswell.

Damn, I would have installed that in my truck if it was possible. Where is your A/C Button? Is it to the right of the recirculate slider in the black rectangular plate cover?

keep the compressors if they are still good.. because u can use them as engine driven air compressors for your air ride.

yes granted it had ac, and it "worked" i never actually got cold. it didnt matter how long you were driving and how long you had it on it still never did. im sure i couldve gotten it recharged or something but obviously it was a priority for me.

and i still do have the compressor

im in the same situation as bigroy, it would barely blow air, but its wasnt really cold. so i was thinking my blower went out or something. I have 2 AC compressors, one i was planning on swapping to use for my bags.........plus my AC controls never worked right bc the previous owner somehow jacked them up putting the tweed on the dash.......the top of the dash wasnt even bolted on......just those 2 bolts on the left and right of the dash......THATS IT

i hate redoig peoples fuck ups........

switch it to your air ride

So why do people go and use yorks if you can just use a stock AC compressor from which ever type of vehicle you have?
