viair 550

well the retard i bought my truck from, put the comp in the bed of the truck and left it out side, and from some research the 550 isnt supposed to be out in the elements... is it worth rebuilding? and where can i get a rebuild kit?

Talk to either matt from grantfab or daniel from custom parts biz . they can point you in the right direction .

but 550s are nice compressors, i'd take one over a 450 or 460

whats a rebuild kit run? i have another viar and a thomas.. but this thing is huge and fast...

not sure how much they run...probably no more than 100, but yes, they are nice and fairly quick for 250bucks, next step up would be a thomas T4101 comp which is identical but a tad faster, then the Oasis compressors
