On the new Caddy 03+ wheels you need at least a 215/40. With these tires the sidewalls still angle in and the tread width is still way to small for the width of the wheel. I used 245/40's. They still tucked but they would rub when cornering hard.

how wide are the rims?

they are 17x7.5

205 would be fine but I would put a 215 on them. 205's are perfect for a 17x7in rim yours are only .5in bigger thats 12.5 mm so the 215 are about 2.5 mm to small no biggie. thats only 1.25 mm on each side. the numbers on tires are millimeters if you didnt know, so it would be like this 215mm/40mm/17in. get it got it good.

i have 205/40/17 tires on my caddy wheels and have no problems, like someone else said if you can do do a 215/40/17 you should just for the little bit of extra width but if you have 2wd fenders you wont tuck the tires

with 2wd fenders will they tuk that wide?
