how hard is it to replace the core support on my 89 mazda?

Marks done it. So he would be the one to ask

its hard at all bro, you will need a drill, and regular ol handy socket set

the drill will be needed to drill out the spot welds that hold the core support to the inner fenders...once you gte those drilled out, its just unbolting from there

make sure you are getting the right core support...b2000/b2200 is the same core, while the b2600's is different..learned it the hard way cause someone ordered the wrong core support ^^^^^^^^^

but you can make it work, the biggest problem is that the 2600 radiators are wider so the 2000/2200 radiators will not mount up to it...you have to make new brackets to mount it up....and this is if u use a 2600 core for a 2000/2200 truck

make sure u get the right core! goodluck

im sure its right, i want to see if i can get it from mike, bagged89mazda.. from the one he is parting out...

how big is the core? is it just the front section, or does it go all the way around...
mark   +1y
im not sure on the naming, but ppl call it different names...some folks consider the whole front skeleton to be the core support...some just ocnsider the front part the core support..and some call it radiator support

i was just talking about the front part

if you want to transfer the whole front skeleton clip (including innerfenders), then what you have to do is cut it right before it gets to the cab...then do the same to the other truck, and re-weld it

i just want the radiator part...

yea, then just drill out the spot welds and unbolt everything off of it, unbolt it from the frame..and replace the new one...when u replace the new one, i would weld the inner fender back onto it

thay have a drill bit just for spot welds that will just remove the weld and leave the metal behide it i saw it on TRUCKS it was pretty cool
