installing an edc

I am in the middle on of installing an engine driven compressor and ran across a few ?'s maybe someone here could answer, I am installing a sanden 708, and dont know if I need a preoiler or not, and what kinda of oil do i use to fill the compressor and how much do I need? I know I am going to need a oil/water separtor. thanks

a buddy of mine had the same compressor in his maz, i asked him the same questions, he said u dont need to do anything its already oiled and it never spit out any water or oil, it works great till this day

well I know its already oiled inside but what if i need to add oil because when I got the compressor there was no oil in it, do I use regular motor or do I use that pag oil

well I think that I have a bad compressor I am not sure, evertime i engage it sprays out some nasty looking oil out the discharge side, at first i thought it was just water from cleaning off all the grease but now I think its oil because its alot its spraying out and it feels like oil, has anyone here ever had this problem before how do you know when your compressor is bad
