If you can relate minis, I'd guess nissan and mazda to be most closely related.dont get me wrong my nissan is a tough SOB, but mazda sure put the finishing touches on thier enginering and design.

Please dont hate, but I think that Mazda and Mitsubishi are more close than Nissan just from my experience. Since I started building my Mazda, I have noticed that everything has the mitsubishi tri star on it. I can remember off the top of my head: The computer, the brake calipers, the air cleaner, and numerous components along the passenger fender well. I will agree that Nissan is simiar in some respects, but it appears to me that Mazdas are just mitsubishis with different bodies and torsion bars.

Who am I kidding, Mazdas are hands down better than Mitsubishis.

ahhh very tru about vidraggin but it also depends on what years your talking about

For example 85 and below mazdas are identical to the old ford couriers my truck is an 1983 and i can damn near put 99% of the parts off a courier onto my truck without a problem and im talking just bolting in.

Aah that is true, I was referring to the 86-93 mazdas. but you are right, the ones like in ur sig and the ones that look like rangers interchagne with their ford couterparts.

Yes, the stock mazda 2.0's and 2.2's use lots of mitsu parts! But other then the motors i dont think mitsu's are too cloose lookin to a mazda..
