hi people

thinking of getting a b2000 next year of ebay and using it for drifting

so hoping you can anser some Q's for me

1. what engines can you fit in the front of the b2000 with out many problems

2.can you fit a lsd easy

3.what are bad points down sides to the truck if there is any would it take being drifted whats easy to brake

any feed back would be grate sorry if some of the Q's seam silly
i have read on the forum the rear diff is week and brakes easy

I dont do any drifting, but maybe I can drop a little help.

1)
You can put about any motor that you can think of in the truck. The easiest might be a RX7 rotary motor, which might go in easier than most. Someone else correct me if Im wrong on this.

2)
Im not sure where you could get an lsd from.

3)
The only real drawback that I could see to using a truck is the fact that the rear suspension rides on leafs from the factory. Also, Im not sure how the transmission would hold up to the kind of power you might need to do for drifting.

Again, I dont do any drifting, nor do I want to do any, but from my experience, these are the things that I can think of right off.

drifting you will need to swap out the suspension. Toyota truck or even better would be toyota supra.
Motor for what you want to do either 5.0 or the chevy 302 both are not to hard to put in.

if you want to drift buy a 240sx or '85 corrola gts. You want a VERY stiff suspension for drifting and a truck is not the best platform. Just my 2 cents

i am in the uk so things are a bit difrent over here like engine models and so on.

what model toyota are you on about grant???

hilux's hold there money after a car show on bbc2 showed you cant kill them

foesicks insurance for a hi powed car costs loads
i also want to be difrent at the moment i am using a ford capri but want a pick up as my next car but also love drifting well trying to so the plan is get a pick up and have best of both worlds
