i Honestly don't know . . Is there a reason why you want to put a nissan rear in your truck? Your's busted?

Mostly Just curious, mines got alot of miles and a bad seal on one side.

Let me just say this im not tryin to be an ass when i say this. If it aint broke don't fix it .Honestly what i'd do is replace that seal on the one side heck i'd do both sides . And service the rear gears check for busted teeth etc , change gear oil - Lucas or Royal Purple is good stuff i hear to run in the rear's... as long as its maintained that rear shouldn't bust on you for any kinda reason . Now if you go and bust a crack in the housing then you'd have to replace the whole thing .

as to your question after thinking about it - i think it would go in BUT where the driveshalf bolts up i dunno if it would match or not . if Any thing you could always get a rx7 rear end and modify your rear setup to accept the rear .

I measured this one time when I had both my trucks at home. The nissan perches are like 1 1/2 inches wider than the Mazda rear end and the total lengh is like 3 inches wider. I do know that the stock toyota 86 rear end will fit perfectly on the perches and is the same width from perch to perch on a Mazda. My club prez's truck was setup this way with monoleaf when he first hydro'd it.

Try to find a 720 rear end because they are a couple inches shorter than the factory nissan rear ends.

When you refer to the 720 that is the model right before the hardbody right ??

best yet, look for a ford courier or the similar mazda truck, they are shorter

also keep in mind the nissan hub centers are larger than the mazdas, the wheel will bolt on, but wont sit right on the hub centers, but it works

my friend drove his nissan with my mazda spare cause he blew a tire...made it home, 3 hr drive

Yeah I realized that about the hub as I was going to use a mazda wheel on my nissan also. Iguess I'd take the chance If I really had to.
