1989 vs 1992

which of the two trucks have better engine setups to work on-the 89' multi
port injection, or the 92 throttle injection? Both trucks need an engine rebuild this would be my first

I don't know if there would be a difference. Is the '89 a Carb or FI?

multiport is a fuel injected that comes in the newer ones, the throttle body were actully carbs,

did they had FI in the 89s right? i thot they did

dumb question, as it works out both are fuel injected, i know nothing of engines........yet. should i be able to take the 89 engine out (block to cover) and have everything match up to my intake and exhaust?

i would go carb it just looks cleaner and less wires but its your truck

i really dont think the carb looks cleaner, unless all the emissions crap is gone

but if you dont know much about either the 89 or 92 engines and intend on building them yoursl be sure to have someone that does know what theyre doing to help you, so really it only matters which vehicle is in better shape
