ok once again i thought of this while i was at work.i seem to do most of my thinking at work.what inspires you to build your truck??i get inspired everytime i think of my truck in its finished form.cruising down the strip 1/8" off the ground bodydropped on my 20's solid black, cruisin on a warm evening sunset with the ragtop wide open and sublime blasting,me and my creation.thats what inspires me and every time i think of it(like now) i get more and more anxious for the day to come.so post em up on what keeps you going.who knows you might inspire someone else.

2 INSPIRATIONS TO GET-R-DUN,

1. TO SEE MY RIDE THE WAY I WANTED IT WHEN I FIRST GOT IT IN '93
WHEN I WAS YOUNG AND DIDN'T HAVE ANY$$$$$$$$$

2. TWO KIDS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, 1 WITH A CIVIC V-TEC, 1 WITH AN
ECLIPSE, BOTH WILL GET CHAPPED BY A MINI TRUCK!!!!!

Many things inspire me to work on my truck and truely build it. First, as cheezy as it sounds would have to be my parents *more specifically my father*. And i know my truck will never be finished.. i will want to change tons of stuff. But the second is being (somewhat of) a political science major and truely understanding and appreciating the freedoms that we have in the States.. freedom of expression being one of the big ones. Also a big stack of mini truckin mag's ranging all the way back to the late 80's (thanks dad). As well as all the friends, room mates, and any bastards who judge me.

im going to have to say the biggest inspiration for me, right now, would be to have my truck ready and nice...so i can drag to prom this year...and hopefully my gf will let me!!lol but i just want to be able to look at my truck and think all the time and money ive spent has been well worth it...and to be proud of my ride and hopefully have it be somewhat of a inspiration to other kids getting into the scene....

I have 2
1. Like F N LO said drag it to prom in june=)
2. Sounds kinda corny but i don't talk to my real dad anymore b/c we got in a big fight and he pretty much told me i wouldn't ever do shit, We'll i'd just like to throw it in his face, because there's no way he could build a truck like that...

let me think a second ...

I JUST got into the minitruck scene like 4-5 years ago... i was (still am ) heavy into classics 57 chevy's 68-70 nova's , ETC . never owned a classic except for my 71 4dr nova that i got for 200$ my first mini truck i owned was a 87 mazda b2200 walk thru . What a mess and headache it was when i first got it .. but you know what? it was my FIRST mini it was static dropped primered and had a sh*ty walk thru cut into it .. i spent alot of money and ended up junking it like 2.5 years ago . I had it in a shop they put another head on the motor - and it still wasn't right -- it never saw the road again .. I owned couple other trucks between that truck and my 89b2200 that i now bagged ..I owned that for 2 years b4 i got to bag that .. When i bought it it was static dropped with a missing shock , broken exhaust , cracked windshield , bald tires , Brakes needed work ... I Went bought new tires and ordered some drop shocks HOLLY SHIT what a great ride i had in that after i put my dropshocks on . I loved the handling . The Motor in this truck had problems too with the rings .. And the fuel pump was bad (had a electric fuel pump in it agrevation) I found my extended cab and bought that on a whim and parked the reg cab b2200 in the drive way - one DAY i got a bright idea to yank the motor out that truck and also yank a motor i had just got done swapping into my walkthru truck ... had the swap 50% done when i had to move - towed my 89b2200 to storage and scrapped the walkthru truck and drove the extended cab . I drove the extended cab for a year in the mean time - i got a better payin job that payed 530 a week and saved my cash . Bought bagging parts - sent the reg cab to dropwerkz and i've had it bagged for over a year now . WHAT keeps me going is the relaxed atomsphere (sorry no pun in tended) Of shows and the ppl you meet- the rides - the cruising .. just having something to do some place to go to show off what you have created in your mind is what i think Mini truckin is about .

sorry for the book .

my main inspiration would have to be everyone who told me that a crappy run down work truck could never be transformed into something respectable.
also my brother, cuz he loves cars/trucks, anything with an engine. hes very talented at it, and we never had much in common until i started working on my truck, so now we have a great connection.
