let me think a second ...
I JUST got into the minitruck scene like 4-5 years ago... i was (still am ) heavy into classics 57 chevy's 68-70 nova's , ETC . never owned a classic except for my 71 4dr nova that i got for 200$ my first mini truck i owned was a 87 mazda b2200 walk thru . What a mess and headache it was when i first got it .. but you know what? it was my FIRST mini it was static dropped primered and had a sh*ty walk thru cut into it .. i spent alot of money and ended up junking it like 2.5 years ago . I had it in a shop they put another head on the motor - and it still wasn't right -- it never saw the road again .. I owned couple other trucks between that truck and my 89b2200 that i now bagged ..I owned that for 2 years b4 i got to bag that .. When i bought it it was static dropped with a missing shock , broken exhaust , cracked windshield , bald tires , Brakes needed work ... I Went bought new tires and ordered some drop shocks HOLLY SHIT what a great ride i had in that after i put my dropshocks on . I loved the handling . The Motor in this truck had problems too with the rings .. And the fuel pump was bad (had a electric fuel pump in it agrevation) I found my extended cab and bought that on a whim and parked the reg cab b2200 in the drive way - one DAY i got a bright idea to yank the motor out that truck and also yank a motor i had just got done swapping into my walkthru truck ... had the swap 50% done when i had to move - towed my 89b2200 to storage and scrapped the walkthru truck and drove the extended cab . I drove the extended cab for a year in the mean time - i got a better payin job that payed 530 a week and saved my cash . Bought bagging parts - sent the reg cab to dropwerkz and i've had it bagged for over a year now . WHAT keeps me going is the relaxed atomsphere (sorry no pun in tended) Of shows and the ppl you meet- the rides - the cruising .. just having something to do some place to go to show off what you have created in your mind is what i think Mini truckin is about .
sorry for the book .
