Anybody on Myspace on here? I'm on there, I keep a blog talking about what I'm doing to my Mazda and VW Bug. Here is my link.

myspace. its like watching tv with a lot of static.

I've never joined, although I have had occasion to follow links the site. Seems like an awful (pun intended) lot of people trying to call a lot of undeserved attention to themselves with myopic and hardly important differences they have from everyone else on the same website.

Some people like the contacts and community, but a larger majority are just addicted to the constant validations and inspections.

Not everyone, and certainly there are some people who realize its all just code in a server somewhere, not an actual "place", but it is like tv with static, where the static is filthy haired emos clamoring for your attention. You can have it.

edit: I quit SSM a few years ago because the guestbooks and chat were the same thing, idiots saying "tag me back" or "drive-bys arent cool" or "check out my ride". Myspace seems to absorbed most of those people from SSM, for which I am thankful. Either that or they just dont bother me that much any longer.

And I am not judging anyone, I would have to have the same addiction for my opinion to be counted as anything important, do what you like!

well i for one am not a ssm addict- I Don't even get on there - it lags my computer so damn much cause im on dial up. There for i don't use the Chat feature. and i don't spend hours hitting every profile saying tag me back- or you just been tagged -biaotch . Non of that- thats childish i.m.o If you can't leave a structural comment to the persons ride then you shouldn't post period.


AS for my space -

I beg to differ about reasons why ppl go there- I admitt i don't go there at all sense i signed up - IF You look at my comments board i have less then 5 ppl who posted to my profile. DO I care? no if they do they do they don't they don't . I am not a myspace addict either as i said i rarely get on there - i don't frequent the message board sections i glance thru the groups (automotive) and then i leave - i don't make a all day adventure about it .


I'M starting to get to a point where im starting to fade away from message boards - I used to be checking boards like every 10mins cause i had nothing better to do - i even hit the same ones back after going to a different one . In the last year i think i've scaled down my message board posting and frequenting of boards .

STW (sporttruckworld.com) no one posts anymore been almost a year.
DTW (dodgetruckworld.com) never go there any more-
mobile autoworld.com ( sister site to sporttruckworld.) NOBODY Posts on that site anymore.
ssm - rarely go there anymor-e i visited it yesterday for the first time in 6 months or more
dropndrag.com ---- as of yesterday was my home away from home -but as of now more like i won't be there i think anymore.
customtruckforum - I used to sit on that site like crazy when it first came out - last i was there was like 1yr ago or so .


I PROBABLY HAVE A BUNCH MORE but my point gets across. I find im starting to loose interest in internet i think . I Remember when we got our first computer i sat up a week straight with that thing It was my first time on the net - and it was awesome - now that im older - im finding i don't have much of anything really to look at . Hell i DON'T even get email - wtf - Not that i mind - but its nice to know if someone wants to send ya a message they can and it gets there fast . I Dunno - im running out of ideas.


maybe i'll fall deep into tv again maybe spend 1-2 hrs on the net then off to watch tv . oh well.

You are just like me it sounds like. All this school, frick, half my day is writing reports and other submissions. I just leave SSM or lately mbs open in the background and take a break every once in a while. But when school is out, usually I hardly log on anywhere.

I also agree with you about the interent getting boring, I think I'll take a break.

Heres something to think about - internet is just like porn - it gets old .LOL . Cause when you first discover it your lookin at it as much as you can ..same thing with interest when u first got your own computer and internet service.. am i right or wrong? lol .
