where should i start-?

i guess the real bad luck started when i had a car accident in my friends apartment plex back in feb.. unhooked our trailer - pushed the truck back down to his apartment - drove his truck up hooked up the truck and did our job we were doing . Haven't really had any jobs come up to do - and also the guy that i let be partners with me in doing the jobs with told me that hes' going for his g.e.d. ok thats fine- But he could have took the option to do it at nite so we could or atleast attempt to make money during the day .. Then his truck blew the bottom end .. Just what we both needed . His truck has been down 3-4 wks now . Then he goes and informs me that after he's completed getting his g.e.d. he's going to college to be a chief what a way to stab me even more .. We're currently using his explorer to tow our trailer to do jobs but sooner or later thats gona plain end - cause nothing is getting done any more . He's putting off dumping the trailer (getting me basically in trouble with where i live cause neighbors don't like the trailer sitting loaded ) I Have my f250 here doing nothing - no money to buy my buddies motor - which is $100 if i had a hundred and someone who could install it in the truck then i'd keep the f250 . i just got the bill from the accident i had in feb this past saturday $4,700 friggin dollars. No way im gona be able to pay that mess back any time soon if i can't figure out how to get the f250 on the road and score some work or get someone to help me get the mazda on the road and inspected to get a regular job. Either way i look at it im screwed if the f250 was to get put on the road again it would help but only if the jobs come up on a daily basis . I WOULD make more money day to day doing my own business then i would workin 9-5 or what ever for say mc d's or anything else really - i could average 200 in my pocket a day if the job was right that im doing . if i had someone local who could give me a hand in swapping the motors out it would help me i would keep the f250 then - it would be pointless to get rid of it then cause i have a hitch and tool box and the trailer to use - .. BUT Being where i am we're not allowed to work on our vehicles here - so swapping the motor's out here is not happening - and i have no one that would help me locally or even long distance .. i guess im screwed-

THIS SUCKS

keep ur head up mike.
we need to just get ur mazda all back together. that will make things aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall better.
i would try to get that on the road, and then get a job doing whatever, seems like too much work to get the ford back on the road to keep doing the moving work.

And uh...what exactly do you do for a living?

right now ? nothing .

i've been doing my own business on the down low when i had my full size to use . My business i offer services like removal of remodeling debris , moving , estate cleanouts , garage cleanouts , basement cleanouts. Basically its almost like a trashman - i pick up the stuff that costs extra to have the trash service to take - Trash service only allows 1 bulk item a month . anything over that cost you extra - lots of ppl don't want to pay that .. some can't wait til the end of the month to get the stuff they don't want gone so they pay ppl like me to remove it . I was doing good for a while - yet i know its still early yet in the spring but if i don't have someone who could help me swap the motor on the full size its kinda point less at the min to make a effort to continue this work - I need a full size truck to pull my friends trailer in order to get as much stuff that needs taken away at once - . If the work lines up 1 after another i can average 200 min in my pocket a day as compared to working at mcdonalds for 7/hr for 8 hrs . and then have to wait a whole week to get paid - It was doing pretty well one job we did we got paid 1,700 for cleaning out a gentlemans brothers estata . NOT To shabby eh?

My recommendation. Follow what your buddy is doing get your GED and go back to college. Your depending on a very unsteady income as opposed to the guy that works at McDonalds that knows hes gonna get paid. Im not trying to hate, but just trying to help. There are plenty of ways to get back in school like the Pell Grant, etc...

UMMMM i didn't say i didn't have a h.s diploma . i have it - grad in 97 . college- yea right - im to stupid for college - school made sure i was stupid and treated me like a retard who would go no where - *which i am no where* i was held back in 1st grade (1st time) and i later failed sr year in h.s and repeated that . but the sr year was my fault for screwing up missing classes - and plain not giving a fock . i was a special education student all my life- with the exception in middle school for a spell when they put me in regular classes for social studies and reading or something . School is one place i don't want to return to cause i know i won't make the grade and it would just make me more in debt for money then i already am .

The only thing holding you back is yourself. If your happy with what you have now than stick with it. When you feel like making a change and wanting to do something else with your life there are plenty of options.

Cool, I'll applaud you for trying the entrprenurial route. I did it to lol, but I have a great job working for the city as a head of a department and I get off most days at 3pm so I still have plenty of time to do my own thing as well. But in chasing the "all mighty dollar" I was running myself to death and getting into more financial trouble. So now I just do my job and go home and mess around

While worrying myself to death and asking God "what should I do?" I got into my Bible and just decided "I wanna read something in the Old Testament that I haven't read yet." So for some reason I chose "Joshua". And wow right there in the very first chapter I found these verses, and I truly believe Christ lead me to it, and I now try to live by it:

Is that not great? lol. I was amazed lol. Of course I still struggle with the temptation sometimes of wanting to "make a lil extra money" but I get reminded of this verse and I think to myself then "a lil extra money is fine, but don't put it ahead of what God wants from me, and don't think about making a living doing anything except what God wants me to do."

Not tryin to preach, but just thought I'd share with you my thoughts, and my experience, about making a living.

I did get my GED, and went to some college for business. Now I'm happy and content without being a "businessman" I work 2 miles from my home! With great people and excellent benefits...and still w/o a college degree.

So keep ya head up and do what's in your heart bro.

i say go back to school.. and traditional college isn't for everyone.. take some AS programs at the local junior college. Or find a tech school.. there are tons of options.. and plenty of grants, scholarships, and financial aids out there to help you out.. just gotta go find out what is out there.

if you dont feel college is good for you cuz of the school work, hit up an appreticeship...find something like automechanics or autobody or manufacering or w.e., earn and pay off your schooling while you get your ticket...then you can make 17/hour and get a nice paycheck inyour wallet every week, the money isnt gunna come unless you make a way for it, doing a job likeyous is a good saturday to make some extra flow, i wouldnt base your whole income on it because, wel look where you at now....no offence man i say that with the best respect...
