Will This Welder Fit My Welding Needs As a Mini Trucker...

Hey guys, Just wanted to know if this welder would fit all my welding needs, gunna be bagged in the next little while & quite a few body mods, if all goes well...if you dont think this welder is it...let me know one that would best fill my needs...Thanks...

specs on lincoln's site says it will weld up to 1/4" mild steel so it should do fine for what you want on your mazda.....keep in mind thicker stuff will take a little longer....

1/4in welding would mostlikely be on flux core with that welder.

should work, just take it slow. for bodywork definately use some gas

Ya that welder should work fine - a more preferrable model would have infinate heat controll and not just 4 heat presets. Not sure what the price difference is - BUT the weldpac will work fine.

OK see the difference - the second one doesn't have the 4 presets - it has variable control. OK Not saying that it is a must have BUT it is nice to have.

^ that also has presets, notice the top knob. A, B, C, D, etc.

the lower knob is the wire feed

with the mig pak the dials are inverted and the arc volts only have the 4 presets - the wire speed has variable control.

I gotcha...so i'd be better off buying something with a little more features for the little extra cash?
