need some help

i need some help so 9i can figure out what to do. my explorer sounds like it needs a wheel alignmentbut im not sure if thats what i it could be. lately the truck has been wobbling when you get to 50mph does that mean i need an alignment. i checked the tires and they seem to be in good shape so i dont know if thats whats causing the wobbling. any ideas as what it could be, thanx guys

is it a tudding or a wobbbling, it could be your wheel bearing...

it like shakes the whole truck

it could be a universal in the drive shaft, im sure we all know that feelings, or your wheel could be loose, which will make it wobbly and make make the whole truck shake and fibrate at certain speeds. check thoughs, wheel bearings dont go that often, well not for me anyways

Yeah double check every single lug nut. Usually an alignment just makes you not go in a straght line when you take your hands off the steering wheel unless of course you really screwed something up. I would check make sure your lugs are tight then make sure you dont have a bent rim, if its making a noise like cracking sound check out your boots/bearings.

it dosent make a cracking sound and it has been going to left lately thats why i thought it could be the alignment. i really need to fix this today so what else do i have to look for?

Try simple stuff first: is tire on left underinflated.Have u hit a pothole and knocked wheel out of round.Jack the car up on left front and see if u can grab the wheel and shake it. If so bad bearing.retighten all wheel lugs.I imagine it has a front sway bar. Grab it and see if u can shake it. If so replace bushings.Grab tie rods and see if they are loose enough to shake.If so u got major front end repair issues. Bj

well i got it fixed and all it cost me was $266 bux!! the tire was off of the rim and the tires that i thought were good were bad!! so i got new tires and an alignment. thanx for the help guys!!
