Ok...

So I CANNOT get the bed off my truck.

Things I have tryed:

Wrench w/ cheater bar
Went and bought an impact wrench
PB Blaster and other Lubes
Sawzall
One of the stupid mini propane torches
Tightening and losseneing and tightening back and forth

And this is where I am...

2/6 bolts out.
1 stripped
3 ok
4 total still in truck

You guys know what the mounts are like...

ANY ideas WHATSOEVER?

I am contemplating cutting the brackets off right now...

Just try and cut the nuts and not the bolts if possible.

damn dude! i never had that big of a problem getting them out, i just had a problem putting them back in. what size impact did you get? i had to use my 1/2 inch drive snap-on to get them out, my 3/8 drive matco wouldn't cut it. i put the brands so you know that i wasn't using junk. haha.

Torch and a good impact..

There are no nuts... its a B2200 bed... They are welded into the cross beams of the bed.

The bolt heads are also surrounded by bracket on like 3 sides so very tight for cutting.

My impact wrench was a 1/2 @ 300ft/lbs of torque.

I also dont have acess to a proper torch...

Any more ideas?

Breaker bar wrench and a 6 foot pipe extender on the bitch - that is what I had to use to get my cab plus bed off.

cut off tool, cut the head of the bolt in 1/2 or as much as you can & take a hammer & chizzle & knock the head off, if that don't work get a torch & burn it off!

That is a possiblity.. Just slice the bolt up and smash it away...

I might try that.

Altho some of the bolts are in very tight areas... I will go look tommorow when the storm lets up. Also need to take the mat off my windsheild that is protecting it from hail

i had to cut one of the heads off and just hammer out the rest.
its always good to spray some rust reducer in there and try to let is break down some of the that.
and if you have it jacked up with ur wheels off, make sure its supported well, dont want to hear about you tryin to break a bolt off and the truck falling off your jacks onto you!
