Guys, a while back I mentioned the possiblility of using 4x4 brakes as an upgrade over 2wd brakes. The 4wd rotors are about an inch bigger in diameter, and 2 mils thicker.

Unfortunately, the rotors do not interchange, due to the different hub sizes. However, the calipers do interchange and would help if we could find a bigger rotor (same bore size).

Does anybody have a Pathfinder they'd be willing to measure? They have similar rotors.
Also, the MPV has rear discs that might interchange.

Don't mean to hijack, but I was looking to do the rear for the longest time thought of using GM rotors and calipers, until I measured them. The GM rotors alone were 13", definately not small enough to put stock 14's back on just in case. Made one heck of a find that same day though, an Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 with rear disc brakes(e-brake and all) picked up the parts for $40.

Yea I wonted to the same thing but also found out about the rotor size sucked. Glad you shared the Rodeo info, so the rodeo is the same lug pattern as our trucks

I have a pathfinder with rear discs and a LSD. I meausred from backing plate to backing plate and it is damn close I just have to measure it to mounting surface to mounting surface

I got hooked up with some lathe time and turned down the axels about 1/8" so the rotor would fit on. It was an 89 or so rodeo, it is 6 on 5 1/2 lug pattern just like GM, Nissan, and Passport
