sun roof

well ive finally decided to do it, ive got a sunroof out of an 87 rx-7, it pops up or comes completely off, it takes up the whole roof of the mazda but it looks sic, ill post pics of it when i get it in, oh and my interior is almost done but im not puttin up pics yet, it has to be done first. anyone else ever seen this sunroof? tell what you think about putting it in a reg cab maz

i think its a cool idea, but i can almost guarantee you its going to leak, any time you cut into the roof of a vehicle that isnt designed with a sunroof ts almost 100% definately going to leak, dont want to rain on your parade, just want to give you a heads up before you go cuting

i got a 92 eclipse sunroof in mine but its not real big, mine doesn't leak at all just be sure to use seam sealer when installing it, i dont have any real good pics but u may be able to see if in this one...

well when i cut out the sunroof i cut the rx-7s roof around where the sunroof sits, so i have the drain system and all, and believe it or not it follows the same shape of the mazdas roof. i had an extra reg cab roof off of another convertable truck i had and it fit perfect, did have to cut a lot of shit out though, maybe ill get to it this weekend and post pics of it

I got the '87 electric version. My sunroof is already in and it definately looks sick slid open past the back of the cab, it has the drains and all too. I'm still not sure what to do for a headliner tho.

Cut it to fit.
