Fuel Gauge problem's

I filled my truck up yesterday, and was out driving around later and the gauge went clear down to 3/8 of a tank. I thought WTF, I got a hole in my tank or it's really thirsty. So I check the tank, no holes or leaks. Let it set for a bit and the gauge comes back up to full. I think the level sender is about dead, or I have a electrical problem. Any body else have this happen?
