ive been putting off taking an emmisions test this summer but today was the last day i could take one or my plates would be suspended now ive had the truck for a year and a half and the first emmisions past ect so i wasnt to worried but the first one i had a normal suspension since then ive dropped it but anywayi pull up to the emmisions place and theres like ten cars at each garage im like fuck this sucks and 5 mins later some dude comes walkiing up to me says hi and looks under my truck and stands up looks at me and says we cant do an emmeisions test ur truck is to low and will get stuck on the machine my jaw drops like fuck but then he goes i have to do and inspection to make sure you have all the emmisions shit (not in that language) and ill do an idle test so im like ok he takes me and my truck over to this closed door (now mind you i just got to go past everyone else) opens it ask me to pull in and pop my hood so i do it he looks everything over takes a mirror looks under the truck and says i got everything than takes this little medal thing sticks it in my tailpipe and the computer goes inconclusive (my truck didnt let out enough emmisions to read it lol) so he ask me to hold the gas down just a little and than a little more by the time it finally read anything i was at 2500 rpms and geuss what i passed below an average truck at idle lol

anyway i just though it was funny that my truck was to low for them and on top of that i got to skip everyone all and all i was there for no more than 15mins if it would have been stock height i would have been there for like an hour

I was so happy pulling out looking at all the lines and really happy i got a mini lol

yeah my old s-10 couldnt go on either, makes for some good comments from the old school techs who all jack up their fords.
i also went to get my s-10 from getting an alignment one time and found it hung up on the rackso they couldnt get it off,

arent lowered trucks just great

in california you have to do a dyno-smog and if the shop has an above-floor dyno your screwed. i agreed to smog my 2200 before i sold it and i had to drive all over to be able to.

yea the above floor dyno smog is what they had and it is required or they suspend ur plates but instead they did a idle smog which was really weird ive never heard of it before basically they just test the smog sitting at idle they stuck this medal rod in the tailpipe kept it there for like five minutes and said it passed so i didnt care as long as my plates are good (and they took me to this side garage that was flat)
