i am in need of some sockets and wrenches so i can start workin on my truck and i was wondering if i could get by by just buying metric or SAE sockets and wrenches? which should i buy for workin on my truck? its an '89 b2200 if that helps. thanks

Metric being as it is a japanese truck....SAE is 99 percent useless on it.

you can just about do anything you need to on these trucks with a 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, and 21mm. i would get a 10, 12, and 14mm rachet wrenches, 6pt short sockets and deep sockets in 3/8 drive and 1/2 drive for all 5 sizes. really the only other size you would need is an 8mm but nor very often.
