Hey everyone. Ive got a set of 15" chrome pathfinder wheels, and a turbocharger from an mx6 that ive been trying to get rid of for a while.

Today, someone offered me 5 good 33x12.5x15 tires, for my turbo. I was thinking of giving my brother a set of the 33s with the pathfinder rims on em. (birthday)

The truck is a 1996 GM Sierra 1500 model. It is the EXT cab, shortbox model. Its got 4wd, and is sitting at stock height.

I am pretty sure that the stock tire size is a 275 75 16, which works out to be about 30.5". Now, being as you would only count half the additional height (only half is on the ground)...would upsizing a wheel/tire combo 1.25" pose any problems? (rubbing, gearing, etc?)

any other advice? thx

how good are the tires? M/T or A/T? the pathfinders wont clear the brake caliper on the truck

they're a/t's cant remember the brand. How do you know they wont fit?..can anyone else vouch for that? I mean the brakes don't really seem that big?

I'm pretty sure that mike is right. 15's won't work. As far as the tire size, you would have to crank up the torsions in the front and arch the springs in the back.

i work at sears auto center and im almost positive those wheels wont clear the front calipers. plus the pathfinders are 15x6 which i dont think u will get those tires at 12.5 to fit. ill look at a chevy tomorrow at work and find out for sure.

trade me the turbo!

im 100% sure that pathys wont fit, we tried to put em on my buddys silverado with my 195/50's to see how goofy it would look and it wouldnt fit over the brakes..
