Good buy or not?

my buddy is selling this mazda its a 1988 or 89, extended cab short bed, its primed and has a very straight body. he bought it from some guy, the interior is tore back and he has never heard it run. it was stolen prior to his purchase and the people tore up the ignition, still has the keys and everythin the harness is messed up though, anyway the engine looks extremely clean, it has a flowmaster and supposed a stage 2 or 3 clutch. its a b2200, the guy he bought it from says it ran very good, it hasnt been reg's since 2004, so fees might be high, he wants $500 for it. like i said its primed and the body is extree=mely straight, and its lowered already with these cheap rims with new tires.. lemme know your input, thanks in advance. btw i sold my yota on bags, and im dying to start on another project im going through with drawals lol. thanks everyone

its very similar to your truck, with out rear bumper, exhaust is dumped off the muffler, has the chrome fender trim, blue interior, had a rear slider but is shattered, which is why the interior sucks because of the rain and weathering. only thing its missing is the corner chrome piece on the driver side of the bumper

has drop in liner in it too, i will remove that when i do the body drop and then do a spray in..

please i need some input from everyone on here because i trust all of your opinions, i dont know much about mazdas so... any input would be nice. thanks in advance everyone, oh it has like i think 153000 miles on it

does it burn oil? how are the rockers? how about the frame? is it solid?

frame is perfect, passed smog in 2004 lol with flying colors, cant hear it run without the ignition which is fucked and needs to be replaced. he still has the em issions paper for 04 lol, anyway no rust...anywhere, primer is nice too not rattle can, body is flawless, just rear window broken and interior needs major cleaning. but the motor is clean oil is good and no white crap in the radiator

Well it sounds good check under for rust. that is a good price even if the motor goes pop after 10 miles of driving

honestly it is? see i thought so too, isnt kelly like 1500-2000 for these trucks? how much are motors/trannies if this one is bad? its a 5spd
